Our Founder Todd
Todd entered the painting industry working summer jobs throughout high school and while earning his Bachelor’s degree from Ohio University. After traveling and living in Japan and Taiwan for 4 years, Todd returned to school to earn a marketing degree. He worked for 18 years in the nonprofit sector with a majority of that time at Greater Twin Cities United Way in Minneapolis followed by being an Executive Director at a small Ohio United Way. His work centered on donor engagement and empowering communities to take action to tackle tough local issues.
Todd combined his passion for community building with being a hands-on problem solver when he started Todd’s Prime and Paint in 2020. Using the knowledge of painting from his early years in the industry, Todd enjoys working with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions that fit a customer’s vision and budget. “My greatest joy of painting is putting in the hard work and using quality products to WOW a customer beautifying their space”, Todd notes.
Since its inception, Todd has grown Todd’s Prime and Paint from a small one person business to a year-round crew centered on residential and commercial painting business serving the SE Minnesota region.
When Todd is not focused on running his business, you can find him spending time with his wife and two sons where they enjoy riding bikes or enjoying the Mississippi River Valley together.
